When we had our first child, my Mother-In-Law gifted us this “special plate.” It is meant to be used for birthdays and special occasions (in truth, I often forget.) Today is our youngest daughter’s birthday and so I made breakfast to order… French toast with cinnamon swirl bread. Yum!
Our youngest is turning 12 next week – her party theme is “chill out” and there is lots of party prep going on here today…

We often eat outside in the summer-time. I have been kind of a slacker this year because it’s been pretty hot here, but it’s my desire to take advantage of the outdoors while we can. I like to use one of my vintage table covers and real dishes (heaven knows I have enough of them.)
